Books

 Books for IITJEE

These are the books that most IITJEE aspirants prefer to follow.
These are the recommended books(the one that I have followed).
You can use other books  with which you are comfortable.

I assure you if you solve the selected chapters (mentioned below ) from these books not all chapters , then no one can stop you from getting under 500 AIR in JEE Advance ( if your confidence level is high then you can get below AIR 100)  and any other engineering competitive exams.

(a). Maths Books for IITJEE

            (1.) Tata McGraw Hills (TMH)
It is a nice book for practice complex numbers, Trigomoteric equations , Integration , 3D related questions and vectors. It has varities of questions of different levels.

(2.) Arihant Differential Calculus by Amit Agrawal
This is the best book for mastering the chapters like finding limits,  questions related to differentition and  maxima   and    minima.

(3.) Coordinate Geometry by SK Goel
This is the God book for mastering the questions related to cirle , parabola , ellipse, and hyprerbola. I have followed this for preparing coordinate geometry. It is a really nice book.
I suggest you try it.

            (4.) Arihant Algebra
From this book I have only solved the permutations and combinations and probability.
Quadratic  equations chapter has also nice problems for JEE.

(5.) Cengage Mathematics for JEE Adv
I have not used this book . But I get to know from my brother that it is nice book for practice. It also come with solutions of some selected questions.

(6.) Problems in calculus of one variable: (with elements of theory) by: I. A Maron

(b.) Physics Books for IITJEE

(1.) Concepts of Physics by Professor HC Verma Vol 1  ( Recommended)

This is the best book I found to build the basics in chapters like kinematics, Newton's laws of motion, work ,energy and power, Rotational mechanics, And SHM. If you solve this book throughly then I challenge you no one can stop you from solving the mechanics related questions in paper .

(2.) Concepts of Physics by Professor HC Verma Part  Vol 2 ( Recommended)

In this volume you can get nice questions of Optics, Electrostatics. Though the theory are not so well explained. But solved questions have enough explanations at the end of
chapter.

(3.)Resnick Halliday (highly recommended for Theory)

This is the best book for learning theory in physics. Each chapter has detailed explanations and derivations of concepts. Language of the book is very simple. During my preparation I used this book for reading theory before going to attend the Physics class like a story book. Whenever I got stuck in any questions ,I just refer to theory related to that question and then solve the question.

I suggest use this book along with DC Pandey books.  Solve the questions from DC Pandey and refer theory in Resnick Halliday

(4.) Mechanics part 1 and 2 by DC Pandey (Recommended)

If due to some reason you don't have enough time then you must solve the subjective problems of this book. If you have time then definitely solve the objective questions.

(5.) Electricity and magnetism by DC Pandey (Recommended)

(6.) Waves and Thermodynamics by DC Pandey (Recommended)

          (7.) IE Irodov

In order to get a very high rank solve the mechanics and Electromagnetism
part of this book. Level of questions are close to JEE paper. Most prefered book by the top IITJEE rankers.

Apart from this you can also solve the study packages provided by the coachings.
I was in FIITJEE Patna Center coaching. It has organised study  packages like GMP(Grand Master Package) . I find GMP tough. It has logical questions which require through practice of concepts .You can buy it from OLX. It is easily available.

For Revision and practice , I used to solve the Resonance Rank Booster. It has enough questions for practice . It comes along with the solution manual .
